We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our well established client’s team based in Fareham.
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the buying team and the planning, procuring and other related aspects of the product needs for a rapidly growing business.
This includes overseeing all aspects of product sourcing, quality, costing, quote preparation, budgetary control, purchasing and logistics. There is also a need for the successful candidate to establish and maintain effective communication with other departments including the Canadian and German offices.
•Drive cost reduction and value enhancement on a large scale
•Authorise appropriate selection of subcontractors / suppliers
•Lead the total supply chain solution within the business on major projects and develop and implement supply chain strategy accordingly
•Focus on effective communication and relationship building with internal and external customers and suppliers, ensuring that all business needs are met and expectations are exceeded
•Provide assistance to business leaders and senior teams on supply chain issues
•Identify, select and manage strategic partners
•Conduct high level / complex negotiations
•Lead subcontract and major supply pre-let meetings
•Prepare and place significant subcontract and material supply orders
•Manage and close out strategic tender and contract negotiations
•Deliver agreed savings and performance improvement benefits and be accountable for performance of total supply chain
•Prepare and present reports in a timely and accurate manner
•Finalisation of tender / speculative pricing decisions in association with sales, submission of pre-qualification and tender documents
