Our client, a electronics manufacturing company, are looking for an experiened buyer. Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager you will require the following skills.
Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Excellent numerical skills
Strong communication/organisational skills
Initiative
Team Player with flexibility
Attention to detail
Time Management skills
Good knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook
Good keyboard skills
Component knowledge - SMT and Leaded Components
Previous electronics background an advantage
The role will include:
Buying From the MRP
Dealing with suppliers to ensure quotes are received within a set timescale
Sourcing parts via distribution and loading information onto a spreadsheet
Research and contact new suppliers to source new parts via the iternet and catalogues etc
Work closely with Purchaing/Materials to inentify any delays/issues in receiving parts
You will need transport for this role.
Hours are 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Thursday with a 4pm finish on a Friday
