We are urgently seeking an HR Advisor to work on a 8 months fixed term contract, covering maternity leavefrom Sepetmer 08 until April 09 - with the possibility this could be extended.
The purpose of the post will be to provide an effective and efficient Recruitment Selection and Employee relations service to the organisation. This will include: employee welfare, advice and assistance on policies and procedures.
Duties will include:
Recruitment & Selection
Ensuring Managers are provided with advice, support and training
Provide assistance with job descriptions / person specifications
Working in line with the quality management system
Assisting in selection interviews
Research local and national recruitment trends
Assisting Managers with probationary periods, employee welfare issues and absence issues
Assist in restructuring situations
Carry out exit interviews
Assisting with terms and conditions of employment
Dealing with records, monitoring and statistics
General administration
Equality & Diversity
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following qualities:
Previous generalist HR experience including recruitment, selection and employee relations
CPP / CIPD would be a distinct advantage
This is a full time position based in Portsmouth and is offering a salary of £20,961 (pro rata) on an hourly rate this equates to £10.75.
