    Our client based in Bracknell is looking for a Pre/Post Sales Technical Support Consultant to provide a professional and effective pre-sales and post sales support service for the entire product range, for both customers, potential customers and the Sales Team.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • To provide a professional and effective telephone and e-mail support Hot Line to customers
    • As part of the Technical Support team responsibilities ensure Demonstration Room is fully operational at all times and the correct products are displayed according to Product Manager’s instructions
    • To provide sales demonstrations assistance both in-house and on-site to customers, potential customers and sales team.
    • To provide professional training courses on all aspects of software components.
    • To provide customers support after first qualifying and checking that the customer has purchased the item from the company, by serial number verification. Reporting any anomalies to the appropriate sales people and the Customer Services Director.
    • In all cases of communication whether it be of a sales, support or product nature it is a prime responsibility to ensure the data is documented on the relevant system ie. For Technical Support use Customer Care Database.
    • To evaluate those products specified by the Product Managers, Customer Services Director or Managing Director, resulting in a relevant and timely report.
    • To provide a relevant and timely information service to the Sales Team and customers by telephone, e-mail and fax.
    • To promptly inform the relevant sales person of any information that may be relevant to that account
    • To provide on-site services to customers at the specifications of the Customer Services Director and at the request of a member.
    • To continually recognise a potential sale in particular the oppurtunity to sell Maintenance contracts, Installation, Integration and Consultancy
    To contribute to effective team-work, both inside and outside Technical Support Department.

    Experience and Skills required:

    • Proven experience in a similar technical role
    • Works to high professional standards, both self and when dealing with others, particularly integrity.
    • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
    • Visual Basic and dot net programming skills
