An opportunity has arisen for a proactive, organised candidate to work for this leading organisation. The primary focus of this role will be the timely production, approval and estimates for work in accordance with the employer organisation and industry procedures.
Responsibilities in the role include:
• The management of the bid process through to handover to delivery for small and medium sized opportunities
• Development and maintenance of a bid and estimating knowledge database
• Support Bid Managers in large bids
• Develop and maintain departmental recording and reporting mechanisms
• Understand and manage bid opportunities within the LTPA
Skills and experience required
• Previous experience of the bid process in a lead or support role; preferably in a commercial environment
• Organised and self motivated with an excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• A team player with experience of working in multi discipline teams
• The ability to work to and meet tight deadlines
• Financial, technical and commercial attitude
• Able to work unsupervised and take the initiate to solve problems
• Experience in an aircraft or military engineering environment preferred
• Desire to enhance bid management skills
Essential qualifications
• Degree level education preferably in a commercial or technical discipline
• Good working knowledge of MS Project 2007, Word, and Excel
Desirable qualifications
• Experience in a engineering environment
• Experience of working to recognised project management standards
• Good work knowledge of MS Visio
