Business Development Director – Life Sciences
Reporting to the Head of Department, the new position will involve interacting closely with clients, project managing product launches, setting up and managing sales teams, distributors and dealerships for our unique range of systems and services.
Suitable candidates will be degree qualified - ideally mechanical engineer - with demonstrable experience in the life sciences sector. Sales and marketing experience is important, in an equipment or service environment.
Candidates must be driven, enthusiastic, professional, confident and outgoing, assertive and able to develop good relationships with sales organizations, clients and colleagues at all levels. They should also have a strong technical / scientific background – and be technically confident and competent. Attention to detail and strong written skills are needed. Experience of working with facilities regulated by the FDA or MHRA (or equivalent) is also important. Excellent presentation and communication skills are pre-requisites. Candidates should be self-starters, personable and have strong leadership / management skills.
The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast growing, international business providing technology-based solutions for the life sciences sector. The position will be based in Andover, Hampshire but some international travel is likely to be required.
Salary will be in the region of £50k plus benefits including a company car, contributory pension scheme, 3x salary life assurance and is likely to involve the opportunity to participate in a share option scheme.
This position would suit someone who wants to climb the ladder quickly.
