We a recurrently seeking an accomplished, assertive Transport Manager with great man management skills for this Fareham branch of a National distribution / supply chain company.
The Role...
Will involve the day to day management of a large, varied fleet of vehicles along with a management team, responsible for around 120 drivers and other associated staff. The successful applicant will be expected to oversee the planning and coordination of routes, site security and overall site delivery against set budgets and targets.
This is overall, an extremely senior role within a successful business. With this in mind, you will be required to deputise for the Distribution Centre Manager, and you will also be responsible overall for performance appraisals, budget management and report preparation.
In addition, you will act as the centre's Operators Licence Holder, and will take overall responsibility for the maintenance of the fleet ensuring that your teams adhere to a timely servicing and repairs programme for your 100 strong fleet of vehicles.

We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager with high level experience within another Logistics or Distribution company. An excellent ability to get the best out of varied teams of people is essential for this role, as is a positive attitude towards change and business improvement. You should be comfortable in dealing with Directors and all senior personnel and will have wide ranging experience in the areas mentioned above.
