Plant Grower required to assist with crop care throughout the nursery and to also help in the dispatch area.
General Duties / Job Description
Crop Care
To assist with the following tasks throughout the nursery:
- Crop husbandry (watering, trimming, p+d checking, environmental)
- Preparation and cleaning of beds
- Potting by both hand and machine
- Setting down of plant batches ensuring correct spacing
- Watering of newly potted plant batches
- Trimming of plants by both hand and machine
- Preparation and grading of plants prior to hand or machine potting
Dispatch
- Lifting, cleaning and grading of plants for dispatch or plant preparation.
- Collation, preparation, labeling and packing of customer orders.
Must have - horticultural qualification (NVQ, NC, ND) + UK valid driving license
This is a full time position with some weekend work and extra hours required during busy season.
