Software Engineer

Having a diverse and integrated range of products, services & support options, can provide Test Solutions designed to meet customer requirements; from the out-of-the-box FaultFinder PCI card for a PC through to a comprehensive Test Solution for major fielded projects.
Offering a comprehensive range of Electronic Test & Equipment and Electronic Services with excellent product training and customer support.
Main Purpose of Job:
To write ‘user friendly’ software for current and new testing equipment
Key Tasks:
1. To be involved in the design, development, testing and support of system software
2. To assist the project team in the generation of specifications from a requirement.
3. To be involved in the feasibility and definition stages of a product
4. To liaise with both internal and external customers and suppliers
5. To promote and maintain tools practices and procedures in line with current technical and engineering developments
Qualifications
• Engineering degree (software-related/electronics) or equivalent
Skills
• Ability to write ‘user friendly’ software proficiently in C/C++
• Competent in the development of software using graphical user interface (GUI)
Knowledge
• Knowledge of software quality processes
Experience
• Background working in a similar development environment
• Background in telecomms or test electronics industry
• Previous experience as end user of test equipment
• Involvement in all phases of software development
