Quality Manager

Responsible For:

1. Quality Engineers
2. Quality Management System
3. Quality Improvement Projects

Purpose:

To manage the continuous improvement process relating to agreed quality KPI’s using known quality tools.
To maintain the QMS across the organisation.

Main Duties

Quality Approvals

 Maintain ISO 9001 : 2000 Quality System
 Maintain PED approval
 Seek ISO 14001 approval

Quality Engineers

Manage Quality Engineers

 Projects
 Operational Activities
 Increase Value-Added activities

Quality Engineer Training & Development

Manufacturing Quality

 Maintain / Review Internal Process Audits
 Maintain / Review Product Audits

Process Control

 Introduce / Review Process Control systems
 Introduce / Review Test systems

Supply Chain Quality Assurance

 Carry-out supplier/subcontractor audits where required
 Ensure Goods Return process adhered to
 Maintain Supplier Quality data ensuring suppliers where required carry out corrective and preventive actions

Waste Reduction

Monitor & Manage waste reduction projects

Quality Costs

Monitor and continually improve internal and external quality costs


Corrective and Preventive Actions

Making use a quality tools ensure the corrective and preventive actions program is maintained, ensuring risks to product quality and service is minimised and or eliminated.

Other Duties

Assist Commercial Director as required
Promotion of Products & Services

Skills, Experience, Qualifications (To Be Completed By Manager)

Essential:

1. Either professional quality qualifications or educated to degree level
2. Personal approach
3. 2 yrs experience in similar position

Desirable:

1. Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute
2. Engineering background
