Job Description
Our client (a prestigious local hotel) are looking for a new Reservationist - somebody with aspirations to progress into a more sales role eventually!
Consideration will be given to a Hospitality Graduate who has some experience within a hotel environment!
Please note: Shifts are 5 days over 7 and some bank holidays on a rota basis covering the hours of 8.00am - 19.00pm
Job Description as follows:
Hospitality & Service
To ensure all reservations are entered into the Fidelio Opera PMS, Concept Treatment System, as well as Restaurant/Afternoon Tea bookings both via the telephone and our 3rd party websites are handled correctly and efficiently, ensuring attention detail is paramount and in accordance with the company standard.
To ensure the telephone relationship with the client or guest is developed to ensure maximum sales opportunities for the hotel.
To be knowledgeable of all hotel facilities, services, events and special promotions and inform and sell these when asked by the guests.
To be fully informed and up to date at all times regarding hotel availability and rates.
To conduct show rounds (where required) in an informative and effective way in order to ensure sales are generated.
Communication
To ensure good working relationship at all times with colleagues and other departments to ensure information is exchanged.
To ensure the requirements of all guests are recorded in the Guest History on Fidelio Opera and communicated to all departments. To ensure any special requests are dealt with in a prompt manner and notified to the correct department.
To ensure that all guest complaints are dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner, and in an appropriate style, where speed of response and courtesy are paramount.
To prepare the Front Page for the following day.
To deal with and or amend rooming list from the Conference Office.
Planning & Organising
To deal with all letters, faxes, emails as quickly and efficiently as possible.
To ensure that when requested, confirmations are sent out on the same day maximising the use of e-mail.
To carry out any reasonable request as directed by management.
Health & Safety
To observe all Health & Safety regulations operating within your office and report any injuries or accidents to your manager.
To observe and Health & Safety notices and work in a safe considerate manner.
Attention to Detail
To present and maintain a smart appearance by wearing the correct uniform at all times so that you may represent the company in a professional way and be an ambassador for the Elite Hotels group.
To ensure that all letter correspondence and e-mails are of the highest standard and comply with company procedures.
To comply with all legislation concerning data protection and client/guest confidentiality.

To take part in all training opportunities made available to you in order to maximise any opportunities for up selling and improving the business success of your department.
