Will be responsible for timely processing of estimate requests for fabricated aerospace parts/assemblies from Customer Service, Contracts and/or Sales/Marketing. In addition, the Estimator must have proven estimating skills, high ethical values, be a strong team player, skilled at problem solving, maintain a positive attitude, and manage time and multiple projects effectively without supervision.
Analyze drawings and specifications to estimate labour hours required to manufacture part.
Prepare indentured and consolidated bills-of-material, and get quoted vendor costs and lead-time for those materials to support the proposal.
In conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering, determine materials, labour and lead-time necessary to build the tools that may be used to manufacture parts.
Prepare cost and lead-time summaries and prepare a clear proposal for approval and submission to the customer.
Complete the proposal package that includes all the supporting data used to determine the labour, cost and lead-time of the part.
Maintain metrics to support on-time delivery and accuracy of estimating deliverables.
Must be well-organized and able to consistently meet deadlines while working with minimal supervision.
Determine potential process improvements and provide recommendations to process owner s.
