Job Description

Business Group Manager Required for - Advantage Technical Resourcing head office in Basingstoke/Hampshire Position Overview This role requires full responsibility for the sales & delivery of all aspects of respective Key Account and 360 recruitment teams. The position is based at the company\'s head office in Basingstoke overseeing the Engineering, Automotive and Aerospace recruitment divisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic development & delivery of new business opportunities & supporting the development of Key Accounts. They will be tasked with the planning, forecasting, budgeting & successful management of the recruitment teams, permanent & contract recruitment service offering and cross selling. Responsibilities - Linked to Balance Scorecard Client Focused * Devise and implement sales strategies for clients and candidate attraction strategies for all market sectors within respective business group as agreed with Commercial Director. * Support and service Key Accounts as agreed with Key Account Director * Ensure all active and prospect clients are visited at least quarterly and a development plan for each client is written and implemented * Sponsor and own respective business group\'s new business proposals throughout the bid process, working closely with the Sales Support team to ensure all commercial data is prepared in accordance with deadlines * 3rd party supplier negotiations, migration and management of transferring contractors * Define and clearly communicate responsibilities to all staff to ensure they continually cross sell all Advantge Technical Resourcing services and wider group service offerings ie technical, professional and XPO both locally and globally * Deliver new business sales strategy aimed at SME business (360 business model) _________________________________________________________________ Finance Related * To meet or exceed agreed KPI\'s of personal sales and GP targets * To meet or exceed agreed annual sales and GP targets for respective business group * Produce corrective plans to address budget shortfalls * Produce forecasts and prepare annual budgets quarterly and monthly * Continually review the performance of the team and individuals in accordance with the business group targets and present to BoD/BGM forums as appropriate. * To write business in accordance with the company pricing policy on profitability and margins * Manage aged debt for respective business group ________________________________________________________________ Learning and Development * Recruitment and selection of team members in liaison with the HR department * Ensuring the induction process is completed in full to include the introduction of the Performance Management Review (PMR) * Conducting regular PMR\'s for all direct reports, utilising tools such as Sales Ratio Analysis to include the creation of PDP\'s for each member of the team * Provide one to one and/or/group coaching to all staff in all aspects of: EAA, IR35, mitigation of co-employment risks in recruitment practice. * Ensure that all training needs are identified and all staff attend planned training with a follow-up review to assess training effectiveness * Drive Team Leaders, Recruitment Consultants and Resourcers to meet objectives to achieve growth in key areas _________________________________________________________________ Quality * Consistently deliver and achieve key \'Quality\' KPI Balance Scorecard metrics; 99% compliance for all contractual paperwork, absence management targets, REC training and contracts to payroll * Adoption of EAA compliant terms and recruitment processes to ensure all client contracts satisfy legal and company standards * Maintain high levels of customer/contractor satisfaction as evidenced by \'Zoomerang\' quarterly surveys ____________________________________________________________________ Candidate Requirements Essential * Substantial and relevant experience in the recruitment industry\'s Engineering, Auto & Aero * Previous people management experience, conducting performance reviews, motivating staff and providing coaching to a recruitment team * Previous experience of delivering sales strategy and the development of key accounts * Previous experience as a sales billing Consultant/Manager * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Advanced level presentation skills (using PowerPoint) ________________________________ Desirable * Degree or equivalent level qualification * REC Qualified ________________________________ Individual Qualities * An inspirational leader with drive, enthusiasm and commitment * The ability to listen, share and delegate skills * The emotional intelligence to value diversity, understand strategy and communicate that vision * Approachable, positive and fair attitude * Conscientious awareness to exercise confidentiality at all times Advantage Technical Resourcing is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
