Job Description

Leading Electronics organisation require an experienced Engineering Technician to join their expanding team in Hampshire. This role is to perform the following tasks; Product test; Test system validation (hardware and software); Analysis of failing parts to component level; Writing of Status and Analysis reports; Training of engineers/assemblers from manufacturing facilities during product build phases; etc. This role requires candidates who have an ability to define and follow stringent process procedures, have knowledge of Embedded PC architecture, are conversant in the use of Logic Analysers, Oscilloscopes and standard analysis tools and a flexibility to travel to support product transfer into overseas locations. Candidates should ideally be educated to HND level in an electronic or computing related discipline and have a good overall knowledge of analogue and digital electronics including Microprocessor based systems. Must have some experience working within a test environment and demonstrated debug skills. In addition candidates should have soldering skills, PCBA inspection skills; PCBA assembly process knowledge and have C programming ability on Windows, Unix or Linux. Desirable experience would include data storage solutions, eg RAID.
