Hands on job opportunity for a division of a commercial business in Southampton, Hampshire for a astute accountant to join a virbant, face paced business.
Reporting into the local MD and CFO the job holder will manage a team of 3 with responsibility for managing the day to day finance function:
Duties to include:
- Reporting to the MD to support with strategic decision-making
- Developing and enhancing a strong control environment
- Production of the management accounts
- Statutory accounting, month and year end control
- Liaison with the auditors
- Cashflow control
- Management of a team of 3, including recruitment, training and daily management
- Managing the integrity of the financial ledgers
The client will certainly show a preference for a candidate available at short notice to start as a contractor and go permanent thereafter.
