The successful candidate should be an experienced mechanical fitter in a maintenance environment. Specialised training will be given in the clients lifesaving products. Whilst based in Gosport, the job itself will be primarily off-site onboard ships and offshore installations both in the UK and worldwide.
Due to the nature of the job, applicants will need to be physically and medically fit and be prepared to travel away from home for periods of time. Applicants must have a UK driving licence, as the job will include use of the company service vehicles.
Duties:
To service and maintain marine life-saving equipment.
To make sure that all record keeping and paperwork is kept current and up to date.
To identify any possible future requirements or upgrades.
Servicing the products of the company, both on and off site in marine and offshore related environments
Preparation of Service Reports and expense claims
Identification of additional work or material requirements during debriefing sessions
Ensuring that materials are available prior to the commencement of the job
Assisting the Aftersales Service Department in the preparation of quotations
Assisting the Aftersales Service Department in locating/researching original data and build specifications
Assistance with workshop related activities and on-site product refurbishment
Responsibility for the maintenance of your work area and tools
Providing technical experience and information
Availability to work in any location at all times
Contribute to ensuring a safe working environment
